Rock These Fierce Platforms This Spring
If you live in the UK like I do, you will be pleased to know that Spring is officially here – we have lost that all important hour of sleep with the clocks going forward to British Summer Time, and the shortest day of the year has passed.
Although the weather may not have yet caught up, at least most of the fashion retailers have brought out their spring collections. This means plenty of cute and flirty dresses, ankle grazer jeans, and floaty tops, to name a few. Not only that, but the ankle boots that have seen you through the winter have been replaced by gorgeous platforms, that in many cases, give a little show of toe.
So why not treat yourself to a pedicure and brave the slight chill to show off a pair of these fabulous platforms? Check out these must-have pairs to make for a completely fierce spring.
If you want to give yourself a few extra inches of height, but don't really want the extra pressure of high heels, then the flatform is definitely the platform for you. You get those extra inches, but all the benefits of wearing a pair of flat shoes – you get both style and all-day comfort.
Every girl should have one good pair of wedges in her life, and they are absolutely essential for Spring/Summer 2016. These fit perfectly into the key trends of the season, which includes seventies-inspired garb, Bohemian influences, and Spanish flavours. Additionally, they look great when teamed with a simple pair of jeans and t-shirt as they add height and elongate the leg.
The stiletto is so last season, so how are you going to get that killer height that makes your legs look like they go on forever, and give your butt an irresistible lift? With some skyscraper block-heeled platforms, of course!
Not every girl feels confident showing off their toes; some like to keep them under wraps. Maybe they have a bit of a foot phobia (more common than I realised), or perhaps like me, they don't feel comfortable inflicting their toes on the world. The platform trend is still one I, and other girls like me can get on board with, thanks to some of these stunning closed-toe numbers.
